The 2015 Project Genesis summer youth employment program hired includes over 100 participants who work in a variety of hospitals and departments at Detroit Medical Center. The program has been in existence since 2006 with hundreds of Detroit Public High Schools participants.Selected participants work 30 hours per week for eight weeks in the Project Genesis program. The program seeks to develop good work habits, stresses career development and provides hands-on job experience as a prerequisite to a successful future.
